The Jungle Poem by Dr John Celes

The Jungle

Nature nurtures jungles most naturally,
As habitat for flora, fauna galore;
Man ventures into forests, ruining woods,
lays them barren robbing their great wealth.

The eco-systems of forests are complex;
Man cannot bring the rain or make a swamp;
What wonder beasts show living wonderfully;
The jungle’s beauty is perilous, incredible.

What species live exemplifying God’s glory!
Poor man’s curiosity to unravel her secrets
serves only to buy trouble and destroy.
Man enters woods and turns life into jungles!

Where sun can't reach and flowers rare, unheard of, exist!
Where beauty of species stays hidden until extinct!
