The Justice Parlor Poem by Faith Elizabeth Brigham

The Justice Parlor

if God had no mercy
if friends gave no
thought to forgiveness
if a mother's love
ceased to be unconditional
who among us would
long to enter
the justice parlor
where everyone
got just what
they deserved
