The Key To Hearts Poem by Rita Shay

The Key To Hearts

Rating: 0.5

I wonder how the world would be
If you could unlock a heart with a key

Would all the soft spoken ones
Stand up and shout
And would all the heart-broken
Jump up, all about

Where might a key
Like this be found
Would they just be
Lying all around?

What lengths would people go to
Get this key?
Would they swim 100 miles blue
To open you?

From the key would the shy ones
Run away
From an answer, a question they dreamnt
Not to say?

Or would the meek ones
Come out to play
And puff their chests out
Waiting to say their say?

Would it be hard to turn this key
Turning over all sorrow and uncertainty?

Who would object to such a key?
I guarantee you won't hear it from me.
