The King - Poem by Freya Jones

And the day you realise
what is is that you want
let me know okay,

broadcast it across terrestrial television
billboards, newspapers, magazines
'cause we'd all quite like to know

tell everyone
throw a party why dont you
its gonna be a once in a lifetime event afterall
in which case
we might aswell make it a national holiday!

and i'm not joking my friend

oh! how i wish i were
because inside this now empty shell
is my hollow withered form, still hoping
wishing, dreaming...praying
that you'll say...
