The Kiss That May Be Missed Poem by Joshua Bantum

The Kiss That May Be Missed

If I blew a kiss from here,
At the thousandth mile separating our feet,
Would it be lost with all the words of praise,
Whispered about you in my sleep.

Or maybe not.

Maybe it would climb upon the quiet flutter
Of the mallard heading west,
Then enveloped by the breeze,
It would blow into the seasons,
Through the winters bare naked trees,
And blush,
Also,
With the blooming roses of the blossoming spring.

Maybe,

Or probably not.
