The Knockout Poem by Sarah Graham

The Knockout

Rating: 5.0

I'm on the ropes
This is me down
Can't see a way back up
to regain my crown

I saw the killer punch
Long before it came
Knew that it would get me
If I hung around

Despite long hours of training
A punishing regime
Tonight, it all amounts to nothing
In this ring of dreams

I am the bloodied loser
You will take the belt
Only one winner
Referee, please hurry
Count me out.

Nice poem Sarah, I like the poem. It expressed sentiment of a loser but hopefully not a quitter. Take my 10. Regards -Marvin
