THE LAMENTING DUSK
As a man awakes at morn
By the first rays of sunlight at dawn
Opening his heavy eyelids,
He sees a bright day in front of him
To which he is welcomed by the birds’ hymn
Like a new-born baby who comes to the world crying,
But everyone around him laughing,
Peeping through his tiddly eyes
To see the world outside,
And like the first leaf which comes out of the ground
To see the tall trees around
To start a life full of joy and hopes.
The world full of violence and sorrow
Which does not make him think of a tomorrow,
With father and mother, and wife and kids,
Which make him miss
A real life’s bliss.
Like a new plant’s first cut
Without the woodcutter’s a tiny thought
Which makes it lose its lush green
And the leaves’ emerald sheen.
Too many troubles and too many thoughts
Which prevents him from breaking the thick knots
Coiled around him like a snake
Which are the sorrows a life make.
For a plant which grew so boldly
Making it bent and look so forlorn
In the ground itself where it was born.
The dark clouds as a solid mass above
Which started gathering together
As a sad goodbye to the bright sunshine
Like the last days of a man’s life,
A time when he has lost all hope,
A sad demise to the world in which he lived
Which he is shortly going to leave.
Or like the last moments of a plant
In which the woodcutter sharpens the axe.
The clouds form a sepulchre
Which is bordered with dark clouds
With a mild shining light of the sun somewhere near
Which is the last hope of a man
As he laments over his past time
The plants’ last hope is also gone
When the woodcutter picks up his axe to strike.
Too many desperate situations in a lifetime!
The closing night of a person
Who with his bad notion,
Lived a life with sunshine and darkness,
Laments as the day nears a stillness
Which no one can describe…………
INEXPLICABLE!
