The Language Of Love (Sonnet #213) Poem by Tina Baaklini

The Language Of Love (Sonnet #213)

Words may carry smiling faces, tender hands
That softly embrace the heart, ease the soul
With words we speak to God who understands
We pray and plea and God opens the door.

The language of silence speaks more than words
Smiles may convey fresh breeze of tenderness
Red roses whisper 'I love you' in verse
A kiss speaks in silence through merged breath.

But nothing compares to the language of love
It forgoes words, silence; it speaks through deeds
A shoulder to cry on when things are rough
Outweighs volumes of love words indeed.

If your words lack kindness then stay silent,
The moon still shines, stars still dance, in silence.
