The Last Thing Poem by Evelyn Knight

The Last Thing

Scribbles of incoherant letter and sylables,
Staring at the letter he left.

He just left a note,
He didn't even tell her he loved her before he left.

Never being able to see his beautiful eyes again,
Never fell his touch again,
Never breathe in his scent.

Holding the locket around her neck,
Remebering the memory of him putting it around her neck and saying 'forever'.

Anger surges through,
tearing the locket away and trowing at the wall,
Watching it shatter like they're love for each other.

She walks to the kitchen slowly.
She grabs a knife and rips open her chest.

So that it will never hurt again,
The hurt of knowing he will never be there

Laying on the ground dying,
She sees his sweet face,

The last thing she will ever see..
