The Last Wish Poem by DEEPAK KUMAR PATTANAYAK

The Last Wish

In a sequestered place;
I saw her sitting alone,
Though looking a little fresh,
Like an Angel in early morning,
To be seen among flowers,
Bending, bowing and smiling,
Though I could see her tears,
Swelling in ocean of eyes,
At my sight hiding,
Many a troubled thing,
One day we have to part forever,
Who knows?
When the frost will come,
Chill the air and behead the flower,
Even the best vitality
Can’t excel decay order,
To everything there is a season,
A time to be born,
And a time to die under the heaven,
And the veil is going to be broken,
As time and eternity coming together,
And opening the door for her to heaven,
This is the truth Nature carries in her crown,
I wanted to know her wishes,
Whether she was tranquil or afraid,
Where her mind had gone,
Toward home or God,
Until her wavering mind,
Settled firmly on Heaven,
I wanted to know her wishes......
