The Letter Is 'L' Poem by Joyce Hemsley

The Letter Is 'L'

Lovely Laura, in luxury lace
Love me - leave me never.
Let your glow light up the lake
The lagoon among the heather.

Lean on litany when life is low
lay down your head and linger.
Lavender gather from the lea
Liase, in love forever.

Little do you learn of life
Less than the leading masses
Legend tells true love is all
Lesson for lads and lasses.

I'm languid and listless without your light
Your liberal kisses and laughter.
Come live with me among the larkspur
Legitimate love will follow after.
