The Life Of Craig Richardson Poem by michael zhitnitsky

The Life Of Craig Richardson

Craig Richardson has not lived life,
for he is a businessman and comes home without a wife.
'He is very successful, ' some might say, and
'I need more money! ' he screams every day.

A man at the age of sixty-three,
he has no patience, no friends, no glee.
Although he thinks his life is good,
his idea of one is badly misunderstood.

A rich man, he is. This is obviously true.
Most will envy him saying, 'I want to be you.'
He solemnly drives home every day,
knowing that his life is just draining away.

But people all around the town
are making the best of their life without piping down.
That morning those same people awake,
feeling ungrateful about their life, thinking they made a mistake.

They want to have a different life just like Craig,
but their understanding of his boring life is extremely vague.
One normal day where everything is calm and perfect,
poor old Richardson dies, out of loneliness, I suspect.

Before he got to enjoy everything he owns,
he was sadly put into a coffin; nothing but bones.
Suddenly there, the people simply understood,
his life was bad and their life is good.

So, you smart, sophisticated, children, listen to what I say:
Don't live for tomorrow, live for today!

How terrible it is to become successful in life without being successful in relationships. Truly a man who dies without friends is not really successfully. In realtity, he dies is in spitural poverty.
