The whole world
around, the Christians
celebrate Advent again.

Advent means
"arrival of the Lord! ".

At the same time,
our gaze points
both into the past
and into the future.

We expect the fulfillment
of the biblical promises.

We wait for something.
We expect something
and are not content
with what we see
and experience
now in this world.

Seekers are we,
interrogators are we.
We are also living
in great hope.

The Advent light should
not only create
a contemplative mood,
it is also a sign that
we are waiting for
the light that brings
us away from our darkness
and wants to inflame our hearts.
