The Light-The Path-The Love Poem by glenn gay

The Light-The Path-The Love

When my days are dark and dreary
I think of your smile
The light from your joy

When I find myself lost and in need of direction
I think of your eyes
The pathway to your soul

When I find myself lonesome
I think of your voice
Your kind words of wisdom and friendship

When I find the world too ugly to bear
I think of your beauty
God’s perfection in an imperfect world

When I find myself angry
I think of your heart
Softer than a ripple in a pool of pure love

When I find myself missing you
I think only of you
For which there is no substitute
