The Light Through The Crystal Pane Poem by Andrew Matthews

The Light Through The Crystal Pane

Rating: 5.0

I enter this place and immediately I am happy.
I am welcomed by the sun, diffuse, beautiful
and intoxicating through the crystal pane.
I would be contently happy to spend the rest
of my life in this place, this time.

I would not need a thing to sustain me,
only someone to share it with.
A woman, who can love and will be loved,
a person who, even in a lull of mood
would somehow still be happy.

Happiness, light and love are all the soul needs.
The soul is made of all these things,
with just a shard of sadness as a contrast to them.
That is why true beauty is at the core of a person.
The soul can appreciate beauty in all things.

At the moment their heart began to beat
their soul began to grow. feeding on a
devine recipe of light, love and happiness.
Sadness is added occasionally,
as time ticks towards tomorrow.

Alas, we cannot stay here for as long as we would like.
We are all bound by the laws of light and darkness.
For when eyes truly close, they close forever.
I hope that for our souls the darkness doesn't last,
and on the other side of the crystal pane there is light again.
