The Little Things Poem by Randy McClave

The Little Things

I truly appreciate all the kindness
Especially seen and given with a blindness,
When people come and see
I really appreciate people checking up on me.
I always appreciate a quick message
Sent with an imminent presage,
To tell or ask me this or that
Or to warn me about them or where I'm at.
I appreciate those who ask me if I'm okay
At anytime or on any day,
I enjoy it when they ask me what I'm doing
Especially, what new in me is brewing.
I appreciate every single person in my life
Who has worried or helped to end pain and strife,
Those who have tried to brighten my days
Those for me who went out of their ways.
I truly appreciate them one and all
Who for me was always on call,
I say this with a happy tear and a boast
It's the little things that always matter the most.
