'The Little Things' - Poem by KITTEN LANKFORD

Images are twisted
Are they real or
make believe?
Waves bigger than
mountains in the
middle of the sea.
The sun as hot as lava
dripping from a volcano.
The rivers frozen solid
from the very first winter
snow.
The forest as it echos
when the leaves are all
long gone.
The breeze sounding like
music beating all your
favorite songs.
The shinny different colors
of a rainbow in the sky.
It's the little things you
notice, you take for granted,
or deny.
So when you are feeling
down and out, just take a
good look around you.
Look at all the little things
you took the time and found.
