The Lives We Live Poem by Sneha Murali

The Lives We Live

(Written in collaboration with Abhimanyu Raman and Dr RJV Ernesto a.k.a Rajeev)

Fade to black, i fall back
from the line, i find
myself, in the amidst of a crowd
Moving forward, i try to run back
Holding onto my fears so close, the pain soaks
into my skin, flying akin
to the wind, my memories pinned
against, a cold crass wall, doomed the pall,
my life, is yours for the taking
For even though i am waking
from the nightmare, i hold you there
So i can tell you what it means to dream my dreams

i can still dream of rewinding, having u residing in me
but i'm so alone, as hard as stone, why did you have to disown
my heart, my all...too painful to recall
goodbyes dont end with a wave of a hand
cant mend whats broken, so what if u still can?
the cracks will be seen, trust again will never be clean
eating away on the inside, like maggots on flesh
too wounded to even think of starting afresh
and in the crowd, i hear your voice so loud inside my head
but i'd rather stop believing, i'd rather be dead
come darkness i sleep with a broken pride
now that my heart's broken, aint got nothing to hide

I won't cry, even as you pass me by
Hoping someday I'll see through the lie
I will rise from the end, even if you pretend
to know me, i will turn my back
I'll be relentless, i won't even know who you are
or who you were, You can't hold me down,
I'll wake from the sadness of the mistake i made
Goodbye I'll say, to all your selfish dreams
You won't even know how to say goodbye to me

But sometimes saying goodbye doesnt make any sense,
Even Rhymes paying Sighs could'nt make offense,
Rough times making Lies in my fake lips & also nonsense,
it's dense in the woods i travel, even lens couldnt find a glimpse of light

It might be fault with my sight, but wait...
'who said i have sight in my eyes? ' 'Oh! it's fate! '
Yea! This is one reason i hate God, Look what he Made!
Creatin a bright light spilling Star in ease
& kill it before it's light kisses the Niece!
I'm slowly & much burning pain in turning to Black Hole,
oh! dear lord! yu've attained yur twisted Goal,
I'm rolling my Soul as Whole to the Ghouls,
To the Devil Himself, ('He accepts my Faults as Gold! ')
He does'ne even wants to Truth Unfold,
I'm lying cold in his hands, & My Eyes Floods & Folds,
I'm Fading to Black
Goodbye, i'll say, to all your selfish dreams
You won't even know how, to say goodbye to me
