The Load Poem by Forever Underestimated

The Load

A load might be lifted,
But I'm still holding on
To some scraps.
I'm not ready to let go.
But why?
I don't know.
I just can't set them free,
And they're still drowning me
With every reminder;
Every push.
I need to let go
And just breathe,
But I can't;
Can't let go
Of my past.
I used to complain,
But now I see
It was so easy back then,
And now
I just wish I could go back.
But I can't.
I need to move on
And discover.
This is who I am.
Never forget that.
