The Locked Box Poem by Cardinal Chang

The Locked Box

Trapped inside that box
A heart thats love locked
I am the sneaky fox
That awaits the day I can break the lock
Once i get into that locked box
I'll mend the heart with love, patience, kindness, understanding, and admiration
For I am that fox
That is trying to break that lock
And with a beastlike passion I will not stop trying to break that lock on the box
For whats inside is worth more than any weight of gold and is prettier than any goddess i know
So here I am waiting with patience to fill that vacant heart

No longer a fox but a dove who will take that box and fly with it in the heavens above
And if that lock finally pops and were soaring together through the skies at high speeds
I will never let that heart fall for i worked hard to set it free
I will carry it on my wings and give it healing
Because I dream of an ending such as

Together forever through the endless skies of eternity
Me and you will always be
