you watch
what everyone does
not want to watch

you go beyond
watching it, you
are into doing
it now,

inside your
room, you turn off
the lights

you hug your
own shadow,
how lonely could
this really
be?

nothing unusual
you comfort yourself
with what you
remember about
Tu Fu,

he drinks with
his shadow
and the moon
keeps them
good company

add the singing
winds
and the stones
beneath them

that will be
too many
and merrier
than what was
yesterday....
