The Loss Of Offspring Poem by Muhammad Ishaq Abbasi

The Loss Of Offspring

Rating: 5.0

One afternoon, in the forest,
Under the tree, did I rest.
On the tree, I saw a nestling,
He was jolly, in the nest.
A hungry snake, climbed up the tree,
Swallowing the nestling, he did flee.
After a little time, his mother came with grain,
Seeing the nest, her heart burst with pain.
The loss of an offspring, the mother cannot bear,
She alone faces the worries and the cares.
