The Lost Faces Of Past Poem by Amit Pandey

The Lost Faces Of Past

Rating: 5.0

God! ........thanks.....
that there are folks of my kind....
who decide to forget...
but not a friend
who would in the childhood...
warm the adjacent seat...
of that wooden bench....
of the school we shared.

God! .....thanks....
that there are folks of my kind...
who would not disrespect...
the essence of existing...
the reservoir of that sweet memory...
the lane that bypassed on the path of time...

God! ......thanks....
that there are folks of my kind...
who refuse to be subdued....
by the mono-centric I...
and allow their lives...
to be celebrated by the assembly of We.

God! .....thanks.....
that there are folks of my kind...
who have not lost to forgetfulness...
but awakes to all dawn of days..
that follow....
in remembrance of
the lost faces of the past...
