The Love Of My Life - Poem by Mildred C. Sprouse
He entered by the garden gate
And strolled across the green
Such grace, such pride, such dignity
Is very seldom seen.
He was tall for his breed,
With a rakish eye
And a captivating Charm
I found hard to deny.
His long slim legs,
With bright orange sox;
A Silken Grey Suit--
With white polka-dots!!
Brilliant red waddles--
And a pompadour comb
Enhancing the spark
That from his eye shown!
So now you know the love of my life--
Just aint what he muster---
For I've fallen madly in love
With this handsome Dominique Rooster!!
