The Lover's Bridge Poem by Chris Defonseka

The Lover's Bridge

The Sun gone below the line, without blight
The moon sparring with clouds, to shed its light.
Silvery shadows, across the river's ridge
As people approach the lover's bridge.

The ethereal silvery curtains of light
Soothing, assuring, to the people's delight.
Twinkling stars, beckoning and bright
Mingling with the music of the night.

Lulled by the flowing waters beneath
Shadowy embraces, here and there, to meath.
Love flows, as the souls bond and bare
For lovers, this bliss, beyond compare.

The sigh of the wind, a message brings
To lover's ears music sweet, without strings.
For loveless souls, none may even dare
To ascend this beauteous lover's bridge.

The sigh of the wind, a message brings To lover's ears music sweet, without strings. For loveless souls, none may even dare To ascend this beauteous lover's bridge. A beautiful write.
