The Magnet Of Pretention

I'm afraid I can't tell you I don't like your face,
It is flat like the back of a bus,
It is disgusting and I strain to look at you,
Do I have a choice not to smile at you? I don't think so,
The pressure of humanness decorum,
An albatross of mankind,

I guess my face is also disenchanting by the pressure of pretension,
I have a winter face even though my blood pressure,
Has risen to uncontrollable proportions,
Against the tide, I must learn to swim,
I must ‘love the one you are with' without discriminating,
The camaraderie that's already rolling by, should get impetus by me,

Leaders have done that despite the disgusting bad breath of some occasions,
Presidents saw the votes beyond the ugly and disgust,
Tolerance of unpleasance is the norm,
Opportunists have often given their opponents white teeth,
While the tongue is coiled to strike in the ripe of time,
Hug them on their necks with a smile for later squeeze,
Lead them in a happy moment to a precipice,

Changing colour like a chameleon, your voice did the same,
And came out strange, and cold like the touch of a snake,
Door slammed in front of my face, shattered my brains,
I could not think straight,
I saw you in the sky,
My mind was not prepared for the great surprise,
I'm out of breath to ask you why so extraordinary,

I showered you with all the beautiful things,
Wherever we went,
And told you all interesting tales with a blunt mind,
I kept on hurting the two of us,
The hurt got the better of you when you eventually,
Raised a concern about the distasteful food,
Our guests praised the food with the myriad of their tastes buds,
Their conversation was perturbed by the vapour of the food when you opened the pots,
I know you are my best friend, who wouldn't dare to hold my hand or push me over the trap,
I know my utterances were distasteful to the audience but you let me fumble on,

Your love is bitter sweet,
I only deserve to be rescued when I'm lame,
At times your smile is so bright that I almost believed your thinking is straight,
There will be no winter tomorrow,
Utopia all the way,
People say your moods and desires are vertical and horizontal,
With your straight face you can vertically stand and tell the opposite of truth,
Horizontally you can act out the truth and tell a lie,
Your flat face is cause for me to lose the sign of truth,
Women have bought into such bookshops,
Reading the covers and take ages to reach the climax,
Naively, they claim to know and believe they have the other end of the lime in their grip,
