The Magnificent Sunset Poem by Tara Smith

The Magnificent Sunset

A creative little girl
Imagination running wild
Nothing can stop her
Or so she thought

The doctor looks grave
The news isn't good
She prays within her heart
But it doesn't change a thing

She runs through the door
Not wanting to believe
Tears flow from her eyes
Like water from a waterfall

Eventually it fades
The thoughts in her mind
All she had is gone now
She has nothing left

As she lay in bed
She gives in completely
She eventually drifts off
Never to wake again
