The Many Facets Of Love Poem by Steve Ricketts

The Many Facets Of Love

Rating: 4.2

Love is such funny word, yet so small and over worked, this little word that can mistake, often said and abused, spoken when passions high, to disappear when the morning arrives. Is it that cake we like, or when we buy those shoes we love. Or is it that man you see, who makes you laugh and all your cares take flight, maybe it's just that face you know, with eyes so bright and hair aglow.

Love to some is so many thing, a bright new gift that they have seen. For many more love just slip away, falling away with the risks they take. Love should never be mistook for other feelings, born from a look. Know it well you will find, if you just take the time. This one true love should always be, every thing you'll ever need, whole heart and soul should it possess, thinking of them with every breath, giving so unselfishly, never wanting to displease.

This love should still reciprocate, never left to be abused. This gift of love we dedicate, to the one we think our heart should take. Be wise and let your mind be sure, this love you give will be treasure stored. A wiser person you will be, if you just stop and hesitate, before you give your love away. This love so rare and pure, is found by just a lucky few, for once true love you have know, then you will never be alone, for in your heart their'll always be, that special part that they do own.

Hello Steve. a very good perspective on love. I have often commented on how the word is misunderstood and abused. I enjoyed, Loyd
