The Mask Poem by Jan Oskar Hansen

The Mask

The Mask

If you take the mask off
The ones who play Santa
This year
You will see the grin
Of high fiancé.
Once again we have walked
Into its evil trap
Set for naïve Christians and those
Who think it is their duty
to celebrate the birth of Christ
in this unbecoming manner
