The Mask Poem by Kenneth Maswabi

The Mask

Rating: 5.0

Hiding in plain sight
Horrible scars
Broken hearts
Sadness
Loneliness
Worn in public
On our masked faces
As we try to forget
To be normal again
In our hearts
In our spirits
We stand stitched together
Our hearts beating stronger
Determined to succeed
To shed our past
And face our future
In our brand new masks

Truly, As we try to forget To be normal again In our hearts In our spirits We stand stitched together Wearing the mask of disguised emotions..........10
