the mask i wear
is just for you
something to cover me up
all the hate
and all the tears
that i could never show
my sweetness
and gentleness
the caring
and cool
all my calmness
and cheeriness
everything i hide
is behind this mask
i tell you
dont be fooled
cause its mostly just a lie
to cover up my biggest fear
of you knowing me for me
and not someone you want me to be
