The Massacre Of A Love Poem by Kellyn, A Grau

The Massacre Of A Love

I'll sit up starring at the sky
Knowing it's the same one you're standing under
I'll hope that some where in your mind
You're thinking about me like I'm thinking of you
But something tells me I'm wishing for too much
The distance pulls at my heart and I know something's wrong
Can you see the pain that still lingers in my eyes?
Can you hold me close and lie to me like you always did
I'm such a fool for your seduction but it allures me
Something about that smile keeps me by your side
Something about your touch sends shivers down my spine
Yet here I am right by your side, but I feel there are miles between us
The shadows swallow me but can you hear my scream
Do you want to save me or let me fall into oblivion?
So here I am swollen with red smeared across my face
Here I am holding my heart that's so frail and broken
The blood is falling past my knees now
My eyes are going blank, will you put me together again
Fix what is broken and let me feel like I did before
Perhaps take anther blow to my all ready damaged mind
Give me another dose of sorrow and grasp me close
Spit in my face and laugh at my failed attempt at love
Could you be that cruel, to lie about your heart
Could you really deceive me after I have learned so much?
Apparently love is blind, I guess I'm seeing darkness
Because my eyes are so soar from your knifed words
That my voice trembles to say anything
So silence plaques our state of mind
Our communication lost to the strength of no fighting
The battle is now a war, to figure out who owns whom
So with one last step, I place my entire being on the altar of love
Will you sacrifice this for you're past mistakes?
Or will you accent my gift for all its worth
So with my body badly bruised and my heart fully destroyed
I'll take what's left of my dignity and take my leave
I'll push forwards the hands of time
And erase all thoughts of you for good
Another wasted emotion on something that was never worth the battle
