The Memory Of Black Roses Poem by Jalynn Farmer

The Memory Of Black Roses

I remember the day it happened
Like a nightmare comen true
All covered in its poisoned dew
The petals felt like deadly satin
Their thorny vines ran up my wall
Casting shadows threw the room
Those dreaded flowers brought only doom
Never stopping till they consumed it all
I'd heard storys years before
About a Black Rose's show
But were once i didn't believe, i now will forever know
For its very needles have stabbed me to the very core
It is said that i shall forever feel the Black Rose's dread
And that it's not something i can leave behind
That its curse is a forever bind
And i know it will be as the story said
For as its thorns sliced and cut my skin
And as i layed there covered in my own blood
A substance that felt to much like mudd
Scars were left like tattoos upon my skin
Each representing that very memory of the Black Roses
