The Merciless Home Poem by Robert Beksinski

The Merciless Home

Inside I am dying

A Fire ignited searing my innards into a puddle

A fire of desperation,

Of smoke and of the last breathe of life

The last one I shall take

As it turns my lungs black

I become fury

On the edge, I slip and fall

But not before taking everyone else with me

I will let loose a caged vengeance

I will turn the lights off on the world

So darkness can blanket

what they already cannot see

And the Merchants of Death will come

After the Angels have gone

There will be no hope

Just pain and sorrow

Look at this lunacy

Look and finally see

Where it is you truly sleep at night
