The Mind Behind The Face Poem by Kingsley Egbukole

The Mind Behind The Face

The smiling faces that passes by
May speak of joy and peace of mind
But that smiling face you see
May not really be smiling

The greetings and compliments you receive
May speak of goodwill and love
But that greeting and compliment you get
May be just ethical and unfeeling

Every face truly has a message
That may or may not represent the mind
Every mind has a language
That may or may not be portrayed by the face

The smiling faces then may be deceitful
Unintentional though it may be
The greetings and compliments more of a façade
Of the secrets burdens of the mind.
