The Mirror In The Storm Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

The Mirror In The Storm

The storm outside is loud and deep,
It wakes the heart from peaceful sleep.
I blame the wind, I blame the rain,
I blame the world for all my pain.

But if I look with steady eyes,
I see where all the trouble lies.
The world is just a mirror clear,
Reflecting back my hidden fear.

The peace I lose, I let go free,
Because the fault is deep in me.
When anger burns or shadows start,
There is a knot within my heart.

To heal the ache, I need not fight,
Or set the outer world to right.
I turn within to find the flaw,
And bow before the ancient law.
