The Mohanjo-Daro Bull Poem by Ananta Madhavan

The Mohanjo-Daro Bull

Rating: 5.0

Like a great man seen in person
The bull is diminished inside a showcase.
The ‘seal’, no bigger than a postage stamp,
Marks out the many dewlaps and the muscles.
The legend is undeciphered yet,
But the message from that bull speaks plainly:

“Three thousand years from now
There will be things that do not perish,
Because they excavate the future in your mind.”

Even after the passage of time, there will be things that do not perish! They open the door to the past and excavate the future in our mind! A great thought succinctly put!
