The Monster
A monster has appeared
in the woods
a mechanical bird
the yellow crane
poking its greedy neck
through the dense canopy
its big beak
searching for food.
The crows rush to investigate
black policemen
flying in from all directions.
After a few minutes
two report back
the monster will be rendered
harmless
a human being is already
grappling with the controls.
