The Monster In Me Poem by June FeirCruz

The Monster In Me

I am a monster and I torture your quiet soul
Stay as far away as you can from me, before I destroy you
I didn't know this about me
But it must be true if that is the way that you see me.

Will someone like me be able to change?
Is it nature versus nurture?
If you were me, what will you do?
Live like a hermit with my remaining days?

How will I ever redeem myself?
From hurting those that I love
Who became collateral damages
Of this havoc and chaos I create.
