The Monster In The Mirror Poem by Incendia Tempesta

The Monster In The Mirror

Behind this oh-so-pleasant face
Lies this lonely, insecure girl who fell from grace.
Who, behind her well-constructed mask
waits for the fragile, cracking hearts she attacks.

When she first felt love, she happy as could be.
But him was the face she couldn't see.
She fell for his trick, his tough durable mask.
Until he left as she begged him to come back.

Now, she feeds on love like a parasite on a host.
It makes her feel, its what she needs most.
She'll make you feel like the luckiest man in the world.
She'll make you think you found 'that girl'.
It's mostly a lie and your a fool.
Because thats when she'll make you cry and lose your cool.

She is the monster that hides among us.
She looks just like everyone else.
But beware and take heed!
This monster i speak of is none other than...

...Me.
