The Monster Inside Poem by The Marrow

The Monster Inside

life goes by. a fading thought
people who run from the past will only be caught
for how life moves. a distant escape
no one can predict the monsters shape
the monster is the heart. pulsing and beating
not a moment of happiness. that is what its eating
the happiness in chunks both large and small
dont take it to heart. youll be feeding the ghoul
that lurks
that smurks
waiting to go berserk
dont try to hide your feelings reasoning wont work.
