The Moon Poem by Kira Nowick

The Moon

You are the Moon, so high up in the sky,
Beautiful and bright, but with no one to stand by.
Although you may be bright your smile
is just a shadowed frown.
You stand above everyone
But you are always looking down.
Without the suns light you would not be visible at all,
You would be as dark as your cold rock heart
And just as very dull;
But as long as you peek over at the sun you will shine,
Though moments of eclipse come and then pass you by.
Make those who look up to you smile back, even though you may be alone,
Until you find your place
Were you can call home.

Moon is everywhere a symbol of romance, On moonlit nights lovers sing and dance. But you look at it from a different angle. There is poetic brilliance in it too. Tfs
