Kira Nowick Poems

The suns fine rays I do encourage but to the clouds I must kindly say,
That instead of blocking out suns light could you kindly clear away?
And to the wind that twirls the trees please be kind to those as you pass,
Instead of blasting past so fiercely could you instead kindly ask?
...

Many times it has been said 'there is nothing to fear but fear itself'

A truth, and yet an error.
...

I stow through the fields,

My quiet golden plain.
...

A poem from my childhood.

Some petals are soft and beautiful, yet delicate to touch
Just simply holding it in your hand can bruise it.
Really it depend on the hand that holds it,
Like the hand that lets the petal stay on it with an open palm,
...

You are the Moon, so high up in the sky,
Beautiful and bright, but with no one to stand by.
Although you may be bright your smile
is just a shadowed frown.
...

I am a stone.

Though I am a solid there is more to me then just what I am,
And, although you may not know, I change rather a lot
...

We are like the weather,
when too much emotion accumulates
we cry and tears rain down.
When we are happy all the clouds fade away except for a small few, and as the sun rises everything is covered with light dew. Then we shine like the Sun with no shame and barely even remember the sad rain.
...

Love, to not be loved.
Destiny, or fate?
Happiness, despair.
Sun, rain.
...

Give me your hand and I'll take it
And together we will walk threw time itself.
The only time we know being of each other
An eternity in the blink of an eye

As for the river that passes threw the meadow could you glide pass like a feather
So that when someone comes to drink
They can drink calmly in this fine weather?
