The More I Know You Poem by Ceejon Ezinwoke

The More I Know You

I have known you now for donkey days
I have seen your shadow cast on roses
It was lovely a sight to behold
Your smiles and laughter drip juices

And I am tempted to ask many questions;
Who do you take this man to be?
Am I a means to your wrapped end?
Is there another You behind this You?

I have searched your eyes for answers
And have flashed light at your smiles
I know time will tell all I need to know
That is if my curiosity spares my life

I have known you now for donkey days
The more I know you, the more I don't
A Hundred reasons to believe,
And a million more to doubt.
