What are men to rocks and mountains?
Licensed motionless in the shadows of the cliff.
Caressed by the spray of natural fountains
Yearning to hear of that change, that shift.
But the mountains are still.
That water will ceaselessly spray.
Over the hills the men will kill
But here in the valley I will stay.
To touch trees that have seen
The reign of ten thousand kings
To decode what the constellations mean
Walk where no one will hear me sing
In full knowledge that I am nothing to these rocks
In full knowledge it is peace I have unlocked.

Lovely train of thought depicting the peace and serenity of nature, well articulated and nicely penned in good rhyme scheme with conviction. Beautiful poem Eva, thanks for sharing. Please read my poem THE OBSESSIVE AGONY OF LUST.
