The Music's Pumping Poem by Brittany Han

The Music's Pumping

The music’s pumping,
Everybody’s jumping to the beat.
But all I see,
Is just you and me.

My hips sway,
And I feel when you take your hands away.
Every inch you’re not touching is cold.
Your body warms my soul.

I can feel a race with our heartbeats,
So I look down at our feet.
Then up at your eyes.
It makes me want to cry.
A lifetime isn’t love enough.
You’re an amazing guy.
Forever is an eternity.
And it’s still not enough for me.

Without you I think I would die.
I’d be breathing but my heart would stop beating.
Faking my smiles everyday,
I’d be living a lie.

That’s why when we dance,
I only think of you and I.
Only dream about the moment.
Forget the future and just ignore it.
It’s just me and you,
Having the time of our lives.
No other girls and no other guys.
Just you and I.

The music’s pumping.
Everybody’s jumping to the beat.
But all I see,
Is just you and me.
Only dream about the moment.
Forget the future and just ignore it.
It’s just me and you,
Having the time of our lives.
No other girls and no other guys.
Just you and I.
