The Newborn Poem by Abhilash Bisht

The Newborn

Rating: 4.0

Snow covered fields with high pines,
Smiling sun and warm nights -
Define the beauty of land of castles,
High cliffs hailing the great warriors.

There lived a man, stout and bold
Aptly named after the Brave Lord.
Had a desire to sweat and bleed,
With passion, He followed the family creed.

Daughter of the heaven; sister of the night,
Dawn of his life; She was the light.
Sailed together in every rough flight,
Bright smiles made things alright.

Calm and tender, she walked around,
Blending slowly with His ground.
Love that She gave and found,
Made her feel safe and sound.

Glowing came a crying baby; they jived.
Lit a lamp of joy, for which others strived.
Loved, like honey is filled in the hives,
She was the apple of their eyes.

Little gleeful princess came next.
Calm and poised like mother, simplex.
Enigmatic kohl added the beauty of the rest.
Two angels sprinkled bliss in the nest.

Time moved slowly as the babies grew,
Found new horizons as the worries flew.
But She felt this love was not all,
While He missed a part of his soul.

Desire was to have one, to carry the Baton,
To finish the jobs of great valour.
Ides of July they expected the arrival
Of the Wish, they had from the Idol.

She Felt no pain as the Day was near,
Patient soul sat in the womb, without fear.
Water bust. Took her to the Place for Labor
But She broke down on the way.

A bolt and could walk no more,
Soul left serenity, entered the land.
Drizzling sky welcomed the new life,
In the arms of nature, here lay the child.

He smelled the soil, tasted the rain,
Felt the wind blow past his veins.
Hardness of earth and a hand's caress,
Smiled the New Born at the shining clouds.

Great things await - he is destined to do.
A perfect amalgam of the Two.
Will he follow the rules world laid
Or Choose to tell the tales of the forgotten world?
