The Night Cradles The Moon Poem by Stayin Song

The Night Cradles The Moon

Rating: 5.0

The night cradles the moon
And gives birth to new stars
That oftentimes cement themselves
In the sky, but on occasions
Drop to the earth-
With the magic of a sinking feather
But the power of human
Cruelty.
And the moon glazes the dark
With its fluorescent,
Pale,
Glorious
Glow.
It unveils all that happens
Under its reign-
Everything evil.
The dark unveils evil
By covering it up.
It’s an oddity.
And curious stars peer through,
Only to fade and vanish
And implode
Millions of years before
We see them-
In that way they abide
By no laws of nature-
But their phantoms
Come out for one last hurrah
And scatter the dark sky.
