The Ocean - Poem by Rebekah Morgan

Written on: 12/07/09

At the ocean it's really bright
by the seashore the water's light
Deeper and deeper then water goes
only to get darker, everyone knows
Near the ocean it's very hot
except at night time when it's not
In the ocean there's lots of fish
big or small, whatever you wish
Some are purple some are blue
everyone else can see it too
They are yellow they are red
every color you could imagine in your head
At the ocean there's lots of sun
anyone who goes has some fun
It feels just like a dream
of course you never want to leave
Waves and waves hit the shore
but nobody heads out the door
You can build sandcastles, fortresses too!
maybe even something new
When it's time to go home, nobody's mad
they're happy for the time they've had
Until next time they shout to the ocean
leaving there without commotion
Please let us come back soon they pray
after that, there's nothing to say
