The Old Dog Roamed Poem by Poetic Judy Emery

The Old Dog Roamed

The Old Dog Roamed

You always told me
that you'll come true in the end
that we would no longer be living in sin
You know this feels like a life time?
I have been missing you,

I know that tonight deep into the silence
I watch the stars shine so bright
dancing around the moon in late June
I remember that is what we use to do,

Time is moving way to fast
I can see you never found your way back
so what we had is just a mare past
a love that never last,

I used every available words
just to write down for you to read
just to let you know how I truly feel
words you can never deny even if you tried
everyone could read what is behind your eyes,

You made me feel our love was never real
it was never meant to last
so we can put our memories into the past,
You can lie and cry to the one you are now with
saying what we had was nothing but a fling
just to make her dreams,

But what about what I felt?
Did my feeling ever matter to you?
is it alright to tell me all those lies?
just to get me on your side of a blind eye,

You can let me down easy
I know life isn't breezy and things aren't easy
but it was never my fault when you wanted to play games
I never known you had already a broken home,
I would had never let you roam upon my thrown,

But that is how a darken life goes
it's like we are running with
the shadows of lies of the night,
So tell me why did you come around me?
why did you have fine a play wife
when you already had one at home?
She should had known to keep her nasty Dog home.
